Warranty and returns

If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase or change your mind for any reason, feel free to contact us for return approval and instructions on how to return / exchange your product. We will take back your product within 14 days from the original purchase date in the original, brand new and salable packaging (return only with an outer box in a plastic bag). This return policy applies specifically to consumers. We only take back business purchases after consultation and approval from the management. We do not take back especial ordered products or products that are custom made.

Return conditions
​
For a full refund, products must be returned in their original new, salable condition, including all original accessories and original packaging. You are responsible for return shipping costs. Shipping and handling charges are non-refundable under all circumstances.

We reserve the right to charge a 15% storage surcharge if items are in damaged (original) packaging, such as torn plastic bags, damaged / missing foam blocks, removed protective caps, etc. Items that have been installed, altered, scratched or on changed in any way cannot be returned. See warranty information for return of defective items.

Please note that these regulations only apply to our Glass Linear Scales and other DRO products. High voltage power supplies and other custom items cannot be returned under all circumstances.

1 year limited warranty
​
By making a purchase from RSW International by telephone, internet or in any other way, you agree to the terms and conditions contained in this Limited Warranty document. RSW International will honor only those warranties set forth in this written document. No other warranties, whether expressed or implied, including, but not limited to, the implied warranties of merchantability or suitability for a particular purpose, are valid or honored.

RSW International products come with a 1 year warranty and are guaranteed to be free from defects in material and / or workmanship. If the product is found to be defective, RSW International will replace or repair the product for free within 1 year from the date of the original purchase. See below for restrictions.

Warranty limitations
​
RSW International, at its sole discretion, may decide to repair, replace or refund the cost of the defective products. All defective products must be returned to RSW International and pass an inspection before warranty claims can be approved. Defects caused by normal wear, improper installation, improper use and / or misuse are not covered. Warranty expires if any part of the product has been physically damaged, immersed in liquids, exposed to electrostatic discharge, disassembled or repaired by unauthorized persons.

This warranty does not apply to installation and shipping costs. Any expenses incurred as a result of RSW International product errors, including but not limited to product installation, downtime and faulty output are the sole responsibility of the purchaser.

Critical applications
​
Products sold by RSW International are not authorized for use in critical applications. Critical applications defined herein as systems in which the failure of a single component can cause a loss of life or significant material damage (life support systems, nuclear, military, etc.). If you intend to use RSW International products in such applications, you must first obtain a written permission from RSW International and you have a written agreement with RSW International regarding such use.

RSW International is not liable for any direct, indirect, punitive, incidental or consequential injury, loss or damage, including but not limited to, lost data, missed savings, down time, loss of profit or loss of business opportunity arising from the use of RSW International products regardless of circumstances, including but not limited to, contract, warranty, negligence or risk liability. RSW International’s liability under this warranty may not exceed the purchase price.
